Founded in 1995 by Lejla Radović as a humanitarian initiative during the war, BHcrafts has grown into a fair trade social enterprise employing women artisans across the country. Certified by the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) since 2009, BHcrafts remains the only WFTO-guaranteed garment producer in the region.

BHcrafts is a handmade fair trade. Each product carries the name of the woman who made it and a fair trade label, ensuring transparency, authenticity, and ethical value.

The mission of BHcrafts blends economic empowerment, cultural preservation, and sustainable business growth. By supporting marginalized and low-income women, the brand reinvests all profits into scaling social impact and preserving Bosnia’s rich textile heritage.

All products are crafted from natural fibers using low-impact techniques such as wooden looms, recyclable packaging, and upcycling practices, reducing waste and promoting sustainability.

With export-oriented collections that include scarves, hats, bags, footwear, sweaters, toys, and décor, BHcrafts collaborates with renowned retailers like Agnes B (France), Sundance Catalog and Neiman Marcus (USA), National Geographic, and other partners across Europe, Japan, and the US.

With a Good overall sustainability rating from independent reviewers (WFTO), BHcrafts is a standout in ethical fashion and social enterprise.
